Mission Statement
“We the people” means all people, regardless of identity, should have the freedom to live unafraid of gun violence. Bulletproof Pride works to end gun violence within all communities but highlights the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals directly impacted.
Our Story
We are a national LGBTQIA+ grassroots movement focused on amplifying the voices of those who have been disproportionately underrepresented in kitchen table discussions regarding our everyday lives. All of us have a seat at the table, we’re here to demand our voices to be heard and our needs to be met.
Bulletproof Pride is a national gun violence prevention organization working to address the intersectional issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community. We cannot work to end gun violence without addressing homelessness, criminal justice reform, restorative justice, racial justice, ending institutional discrimination, and more.
“We the people” means all people, regardless of identity, should have the freedom to live unafraid of gun violence. Time and time again, we’ve seen our community attacked for simply existing. With the rise of extremism and hate crimes across the country, it is important now more than ever before to highlight the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community whose lives have been directly impacted by these acts of hatred.
